Room Supply Totes:
Totes with room or class names will be ready by February 9. We are working to redo all the totes so each group will be able to locate their supplies. I suggest you clean out your tote of items you are no longer using.

Pray:
Our student ministry Climb event this weekend has had more students registered than have attended in the last several years. Please pray for Nick and his leaders as they pour their lives into helping students discover and live for Christ.

Sunday at Northside
Jeremy Myers has a story that the Christian community needs to hear, and the world needs to hear. It is a story about how someone on the brink of self-destruction can find God's grace and redemption. Be in worship this Sunday, February 2nd at 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and be prepared for a hard look at this world and a moving reminder of God's saving power.

BIBLE STUDY HELPS
This week's study focuses on Our King: Condemned! As I prepared the teaching helps for this week, I felt I needed to make quite a few modifications in order to better define the TARGET of the study. I wanted to focus on the fact that Jesus was and is King, even while being tried, beaten, and mocked. I wanted group members to see how Jesus, as King, was treated, and to evaluate how well we treat Jesus as King.

With that said, I have focused on the following as we continue to study the Gospel of John.

TARGET:
Your goal for this week is to help adults identify evidence in their lives that they submit to Jesus’ authority as their Eternal King.

LOOK IN OUTLINE:
  • We Show Jesus is King by Listening to Him.
  • We Demonstrate Jesus is King by Not Trading Him for Other Options.
  • We Demonstrate Jesus is King by Not Making a Mockery of His Kingship.
  • We Demonstrate Jesus is King by Acknowledging His Authority.
