March 16 Teaching Helps and Announcements

Announcements

Are you Leading your Class
to Focus on Our
Spring Toward Easter?

The countdown has begun. We have five weeks until Easter! How much will your class's average attendance increase?

Don't forget!

The class that increases their average attendance the greatest percentage will be served a meal during your class time on Sunday, April 27. An 8:00, 11:00, and 6:30 class will each be given the honors! I hope you will use this time to focus on those we still need to reach!

Community Organization of the Month:
V.A Hospital and Fire Station #7
On March 22, the Women's ministry is hosting a Northside Service day. I want to encourage Connect Groups to get involved by placing items in the boxes you see around the building and coming on March 22, 11:00 a.m. We will be putting together goody bags and personally delivering those bags to the VA Hospital's long term residents and the Fire Station #7.

Bible Study Helps
Chapters 1-9 of Proverbs must contain the longest introductory section in the Bible! These chapters introduce us to wisdom and how we find it, and provide us with ways to identify wisdom versus folly. This week's study wraps up the introduction by contrasting the voice, benefits, and character of wisdom versus that of folly.

I have completely reworked the study this week in order to provide ideas that will help you remain focused on hitting one target. With that in mind, I have taken a different approach to teaching this week than what was suggested in our other material. The approach involves looking at more verses than are suggested in the ETB material and studying them in a different order. I have also created a more interactive study involving your choice of one of two case studies.

I hope this approach will provide you with the additional ideas you need in order to wrap up this final overview of wisdom before we move forward with advice Solomon gives on various areas of life.

TARGET: Your goal is to help adults understand how to identify the voice of wisdom over the voice of folly and to evaluate which voice they embrace.
